Top 5 Reasons Spring Is Ideal For Family Photos
I love to shoot in the spring, it is probably my favorite season especially for family photography in Nebraska.
Fall seems to get all the attention and love when it comes to family photos. I hope these top 5 reasons will help you reconsider how early summer is a great contender for your next session. Here are 5 reasons why you might consider spring for your family session:
Flowers? Yes Please! I love the soft hues of spring and when we find those beautiful spring blossoms it's all the more magical! They can be a rare find in our area but when I do find them you can bet I take advantage! I also love how the grasses are so light and wispy, not yet the deep green they become.
Not Too Late - During the spring months sunset is still at a relatively decent time in the evening. Your kids are more likely to make it through a session without getting cranky missing bedtime.
Cooler Temps - Not only does spring and early summer bring some beautiful golden light but also the temperatures are still comfortable and not crazy hot!
Fun Styling - Oh how I love to style for this time of year! Colors and textures just seem to pop all the more! Especially when using soft tones of teal, lavender, rust, and creams.
Shake Off The Winter Cobwebs - Now that it's warming up everyone is excited to get outside after being cooped up all winter! Which makes family photos a great opportunity to have fun together as a family exploring nature and getting the wiggles out.
This session was a dreamy location near Omaha with the sweetest little girl crew. I love how the colors in their outfits coordinated well with each other and the surroundings. Their mama has a sweet little hair bow business called Ives & Indy. Check her out on instagram!
I would also like to note that it’s important during every session that I give mom & dad a little time in the spotlight too. A chance to just soak each other in for a minute, cuz when you have littles those moments can be few and far between.
